Students at Chatt State told to 'get indoors, lock the door' after shooting near school

Police investigate a shooting near Chattanooga State Community College

Shots fired near Chatt State; All clear has been given

Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) – A nearby Walmart store ordered the school to go into lockdown and text message alerts were sent out around 6 p.m.

Chattanooga Police quickly responded to the scene at 440 Amnicola Highway. The all-clear was given a half hour later.

An active shooter has not been identified by police. No victims have been reported.
